Elf Run

About This Project

‘Twas the week before Christmas and all through intu Metrocentre, not a shopper was stirring except maybe a Santa’s helper. If you haven’t heard of it already, Elf Run is the family festive event of the year. It’s a 1k fun-run around intu Metrocentre before the shops open, for bairns and adults alike, all dressed as elves. This year they were also going for a world record attempt too, aiming for 2,000 elves in one place!  We had lots of fun creating a short video and taking photos on behalf of the organisers, Total Racing International, getting as many families on film as we possibly could and all of the other activities taking place in the shopping centre that morning too.

Everyone was in good spirits which was great for us and made the end product even better too with so much footage to choose from. We got in the spirit of things too and wore full elf fancy dress, but we learned the hard way that wearing felt elf costumes while filming you can get unseasonably warm ????  We hosted the video and photo album on Facebook, so we could see a lot of sharing and like-age going on, especially as people tried to find themselves or friends in the crowds. There’s at least a few shots that look like a ‘Where’s Wally?’ picture… Can you spot all 4 of the Metrognomes?
