Create a range of vertical video content for use as sponsored Instagram Stories and on digital screens around the City Centre, to promote the wide range of food outlets available in the centre.

THEIR STORY

intu is widely recognised for its range of shopping centres across the UK, providing 1000s of options to eat, play, shop and have fun. intu Eldon Square is situated in the heart of Newcastle City Centre where it contributes to a thriving area.

THE SOLUTION

Being big foodies here at Cronnie Creative, this project was right to our taste.  Working with the team at intu Eldon Square, we came up with 4 key themes/markets to focus on.

 

  • Vegan
  • Grab and go
  • Christmas parties
  • Desserts

 

Having then agreed which food outlets would participate, we worked with each of them to decide which menu items would be best to film – both in terms of visual appeal, how it would be presented and how it contributed to the overall themes.

THE RESULTS ARE IN

The video content was shared throughout the festive period on Instagram Stories and on digital screens around the City Centre.  Who isn’t drawn to tasty looking food when scrolling through your social feed?!  It’s safe to say that the video increased footfall to the centre and increased the overall number of restaurant bookings during Christmas.

 

Oh, and the other outcome was an extra few lbs in weight for us… someone had to help eat the food when we’d finished filming it!
